Throughout this internship, I've learned a great deal about the day-to-day operations of government and the legislative process. Constituent communication via answering phones and drafting letters has taught me the value of constituent relations and how to best respond to peoples' inquiries. When seeking jobs on the Hill, it's often not about "what you know," but "who you know." I feel I've made great connections and developed a sufficient understanding of how things work to the point where I'm in a good position to develop a career in Washington.
